Capturing the Story

My volunteer work, photographing animals looking for their forever families, takes me to a place close to my heart, birds.  I grew up with small ones, budgies.  Then, my beloved Sam, a peach faced lovebird.  He was such a sweetie.  Always happy to have his human companions around!  He lived to be about 16 years old!  I still miss him.

Families that commit to large parrots should know that those birds can live up to 80 years!  What a treat!  But for those that the bird out lives their human or the human isn’t prepared to care for a large bird, it can be quite overwhelming.  Luckily, the wonderful people of Parrot Hope Rescue, want to not only rehibilitate and adopt out wonderful birds but want to educate you too.  These are true bird people.  They can help you decide which parrot is right for your family.  They have some beauties too, looking for a home.  Please enjoy these images of adoptable parrots and share with your friends.  Do not let these birds go unnoticed.  All they want is for YOU to say, “hello!”

I want to share with you some loving dogs looking for their forever homes.  These are mostly puppy mill rescues that have lived a hard life and now just want a lap to curl up on and someone to love them.  Won’t you consider one of these beautiful dogs?  The angels at Marilyn’s Voice Rescue would love to hear from you!  Their photo shoot was held at the stunning, Squire’s Castle in Willoughby Hills OH.  Only the best for these pups!

Two unexpected friends.  Both looking for their forever homes.

Cricket, a brindle colored Pit Bull Terrier.  She’s only a baby at 1 1/2 years old and is the sweetest teddy bear.  I mean look at her, she looks just like one!  Cricket has also been through training and has passed her Canine Good Citizen test!!!

Fritz is her buddy.  He is an adult Jack Russell Terrier, Italian Greyhound mix.  Watching these two play is pure joy.  If you have the heart and home for two dogs, this is your pair!

Cricket and Fritz are in a foster home through the wonderful Havranek’s Rescue.  Won’t you consider a soft teddy bear or spunky little guy, for your home?

Meet Cricket! / Pit Bull Terrier

On Saturday, 4/14/12 there were six beautiful large dogs training in Basic Obedience, at Ohio Air Dogs in North Royalton Ohio.  They were such a unique, fun group!  Not only did they learn basic commands like, sit – stay, but I witnessed them jumping through hoops and practicing some basic agility moves!  What well rounded dogs they have become in their training!  This was week 6 of this class.  To enjoy all the images from this class or make print purchases of your dog, please visit my website and choose “Clients” from the menu bar.

Meet Jake!  Jake was so fluffy and adorable!  He is a Shepherd mix that has a smile to him!  I was so proud watching him learn his commands and try the obstacles.

Meet Fonzy! He is mix breed with agility skills!  He also does a mean limbo on the hurdle!  Such a beautiful boy!

Meet Mika!  She is a beautiful Coonhound and has so much love!  Look how adorable she sat, waiting for her turn on the training course!

Meet Max!  Watch out, this talker wants to love you and please!  He is a German Shepherd and did so well with his training!

Meet Corona!  She’s got a heart of gold!  Corona is a stunning Rottweiler.  The best part is – Corona is up for adoption and looking for her forever home!  If you or someone you know, are interested in meeting Corona, please contact Havranek Rescue on Petfinder!  She did so well with his training!!

Meet Max!  This beauty is a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog.  Timid at first, he tackled some big obstacles in class!  Great job, Max!

Meet Dozer!

Dozer had a rough start.  He was found with a scar around his jaw from what can only be imagined as something traumatic.  Despite it all, he is doing great now and just needs to find his new family to love and that will love him in return.  He’s such a sweet, fun boy!

Meet Blitzen!

Blitzen got his name because he was found at Christmas time!  He’s been waiting awhile for his perfect family.  He wants to be by your side and he’s a leaner!  It’s so adorable, the compassion he has and wants to give!!

This guy wants his forever home so badly.  He’s so sweet!  Won’t you give him a chance?

Meet Aries!

He’s the sweetest, happiest dog.  So long and slender and moves eloquently!  His eyes will speak to you!

Meet Jagger!

This dog melted my heart from the first photo I shot!  He’s soft and fuzzy with the most beautiful silky black coat.  He just wants to be loved and give love.

Meet Izzy!

She is a quiet, heartfelt girl.  She’s ready to jump up next to you on your couch and snuggle into a movie.  Won’t you consider her for your family?
